The Humanities department offers the Art Elective Programme and the following subjects:
In NYJC, all Literature students would be studying the following texts
for Paper 1:
1. Practical criticism of unseen poetry
2. ‘The Winter’s Tale’ by William Shakespeare
3. ‘Jane Eyre’ by Charlotte Bronte
H2 Literature students will take the following for Paper 2:
4. Practical Criticism of an unseen extract (Drama or Prose)
5. Selected poems by John Donne
6. Selected poems by John Keats
7. Selected poems by Samuel Taylor Coleridge
Art Elective Programme
NYJC offers the Art Elective Programme (AEP) which is a 2-year programme
that allows students with artistic potential, aptitude and passion to pursue
an in-depth study of art. The AEP curriculum aims to develop students as
practitioners, scholars, advocates and leaders in the arts. All AEP students
must offer H2 Art and H3 Art (JC2).
